Disneynature was announced on April 21, 2008, a day before Earth Day, with a starting slate of seven films. Walt Disney was a driving force in combining a love of animals and education and incorporating them early on into his animated films and later into the Disney Parks.

Dolphin society is tricky, and the coral reef that Echo and his family call home depend on all of its inhabitants to keep it healthy.
