Easy Paper Plate Crafts For Kids – Spring Flowers
Just in time for the first day of Spring, we have these easy paper plate crafts that are perfect for kids, and the best part it, that you probably have everything you need right on hand. Whether you’re looking to create a spring wonderland or cute baby animals or an entire ocean filled with underwater creatures, kids of all ages love to try their hand at easy paper plate crafts. Over the years in my classroom, I have learned that sometimes the best in creativity and discovery comes when the kids are allowed to explore and create on their own and there is nothing more magical than watching just where their imaginations will take them. Open-ended art allows the children to do “free art” and make independent choices on what materials to use and the outcome of the work. While structured art lessons are fun, and teach many valuable lessons, never be too quick to discount the value that open-ended art can bring and its value to children. Children, especially younger students who are just beginning to explore and discover and understand the world around them, don’t always need to always be told what to make and how to make it. More importantly, the greatest gift you can give a child is to allow them the freedom to be creative and one of the simplest ways to do just that is with easy paper plate crafts where the only limit is your child’s imagination. Even grown-ups, especially when they are still young at heart love to experiment and create easy paper plate crafts of all shapes and sizes. In the classroom, we always have a crafting area set up filled with paper plates, paints, crafting sticks, pipe cleaners glue and trinkets, and treasures from sequins to buttons to stickers and beyond and it’s amazing to see their easy paper plate crafts come to life. To kick off the first day of Spring we have these simple and easy paper plate crafts to help you create your own flower garden that will allow your child’s imagination to blossom and grow.
