Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort At The Walt Disney World Resort
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort is one of our favorite places to stay because it has the feel of a Deluxe resort for the price of a moderate. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is just the resort you are looking for and is where Spanish colonial Mexico comes together with the magic of Disney.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is among the best of Disney’s Moderate Resorts, combining the beauty, and the unique cultural elements of colonial Spain, Mexico, and New Mexico and placing them in a tranquil lakeside vacation destination unlike any other. Often considered a convention hotel, with a full service convention center located right there on the premises, the Coronado offers everything one could need for a carefree vacation or business stay or even better, a combination of both.
Disney’s Coronado Springs allows you to relive the romance of Spanish Colonial Mexico. Find your mythical city of gold in a Southwestern-themed haven of brightly colored casitas, rustic ranchos and beachfront cabanas encircling a glimmering 22-acre lake. Each accommodation provides a unique escape and welcoming home away from home.
The roomie, comfortable guest rooms are divided among The Casitas, The Ranchos, and The Cabanas, reflecting variations on the resort’s Mexican and American-Southwest style. Centered around a 15-acre lake with a marina, complete with a New Balance running trail, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort boasts 4 pools with the signature pool taking on the form of a 5-story Mayan temple waterslide, complete with it’s own an archeological dig site.
Here at the 50-foot replica of a Mayan pyramid you can sit back and watch the water stream down the steps of the massive stone structure into the Lost City of Cibola pool or plunge headlong into it on the spitting Jaguar Slide. Did I mention that the Dig Site Pool is also home to the largest outdoor hot tub at Walt Disney World Resort—with room for 22 people.
The resort boasts unique and themed dining with truly having something for every appetite and taste. The Maya Grill features wood-grilled steaks and seafood with a Latin flair. For a quick service option with a festive flair, the Pepper Market Food Court and Café Rix by Rix Lounge are open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. With lounges and poolside snack bars throughout the property, and pizza delivery right to the room, you’ll never find yourself hungry.
