Preparing For #TomorrowlandEvent-Tomorrowland At Disneyland

Next week I’m off on the adventure of a lifetime as I join 24 other amazing bloggers as we head to Los Angeles to take part in a special event hosted by Disney for their upcoming summer blockbuster- Tomorrowland . As part of this magical trip, we’ll be attending a special screening of Tomorrowland, which opens in theaters everywhere May 22 and spending a special day exploring the place where it all started, Tomorrowland at the Disneyland Resort. As someone lucky enough to have visited Disneyland every year since it opened since 1955, I cannot wait to go behind the scenes of this ever changing land of the future and learn more in anticipation of the movie.
Always curious and thinking about progress, Walt Disney created Tomorrowland as a window to the future, a place to educate and inspire guests.
While there’s much more to explore, here are some highlights you won’t want to miss:
Space Mountain You’ll want to hold on to your space helmets on this thrilling, high-speed journey through outer space! Glide through the galaxy as your space craft dips and careens at supersonic speeds on one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland park.
Star Tours: The Adventures Continue Blast off to a galaxy far, far away on this 3-D motion simulated space flight based on the Star WarsTMfilms. With more than 50 different story combinations, there are many adventures to be had! You’ll want to experience this attraction again and again.
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters To Infinity and Beyond! The Evil Emperor Zurg is stealing batteries from helpless toys to power a new weapon of destruction and Buzz Lightyear needs your help! Embark on an interactive adventure to defeat Zurg in this shooting gallery attraction.
Tomorrowland Theater Located just next to Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Theater occasionally offers movie previews. Starting in mid-April, you can catch a sneak peek of “Tomorrowland” with special in-theater effects. You won’t want to miss this exclusive look at the film! Make sure to check it out before Disney’s Tomorrowland premieres on May 22.
Out-Of-This-World Eats—Hungry after all that galactic travel? Enjoy a meal at Tomorrowland Terrace—try the Chicken Sandwich with Avocado Salsa, Grilled Chicken Chop Salad or one of the classic burgers. For the ever-popular pizza, pasta and salad, try Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port just next to Space Mountain.

- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue has two Hidden Mickeys when traveling to Corsucant. The first is on the flashing lights at the spaceport and the second is in the back window, which guests see as they are returning home.
- At Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, guests waiting to board the interactive attraction see clues about scoring points. Items in the queue show that diamond- and triangle-shaped targets are worth the most points.
Don’t forget that Disneyland is about to celebrate 60 years of magic beginning May 22, 2015, make way to the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, where Guests of every age can salute 60 years of Disney magic with dazzling entertainment and sparkling surprises, including 3 new nighttime spectaculars making their in-park debuts!
