Spring has to be one of my favorite times of year as the winter thaws away and the splendor of blossoms in full bloom surround us and never is that more true than in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina.
Whether you live in the area or are just looking for that perfect weekend escape there is no better time than right now than to see the beauty that is Charleston in the Spring. Charleston, South Carolina is one of the most culturally-rich cities on the East Coast. From beautiful beaches to stunning architecture, Charleston has something to appeal to everybody.
Here are just a few amazing things you need to see the next time you’re in Charleston. Now the only question is, with so many fabulous places to see and things to do there, just where do you start? Rainbow Row, aka the longest row of Georgian houses in the United States, is one of the most famous points of interest in Charleston. Rainbow Row gets its name from the series of thirteen colorful row houses that line East Bay Street. Rainbow Row and the surrounding streets are a must-see if you’re in the market for some Charleston real estate, or just want to take really cool Instagram photos.
The city market in Charleston is a huge market that is spread out over four blocks and features goods from all different kinds of vendors.
Visitors often like to spend the entire day exploring the market and checking out all of the local food, art, and handmade goods. Since its opening in 1804, the Charleston city market has continued to be a staple of culture for both tourists and locals.
If you’re in the mood for some relaxing sightseeing, be sure to check out Morris Island. The uninhabited island is only accessible by boat and features a cool lighthouse that overlooks Folly Beach.
