Strange Magic Movie Poster

Once upon a time, the whimsical words of the poet William Shakespeare found their way to the creative genius of George Lucas and together the perfect union was born- “Strange Magic”, opening in theaters everywhere January 23, 2015. Just for a moment, let your mind think about what combining the words of the bard himself would be like when joined with the imagination and creativity that one has come to expect from Lucasfilm Ltd. A visual feast is about to be unearthed that would surely make Shakespeare himself proud. “Strange Magic” is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures all sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.

And just when you think it couldn’t possibly get any better it does! Add in the talents of the likes of Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph and Sam Palladio whose voices bring these characters to life and put them into the capable hands of 7 time Academy Award® winner Gary Rydstrom who not only directed this soon to be classic but also co-wrote the screenplay with David Berenbaum (Elf), and Irene Mecchi (Brave) all based on a story by George Lucas and new and different kind of magic is about to capture our hearts. Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light & Magic bring to life the fanciful forest turned upside down with world-class animation and visual effects. Could there be a better way to introduce a new generation to the iconic plays of William Shakespeare?

“Strange Magic” floats into theaters everywhere January 23 but you don’t have to wait until then to keep on all the latest updates!

On Tuesday, January 13, join me live as I visit Skywalker Ranch located on Northern California as I attend a special screening of this magical movie.  While there, I’ll be interviewing the director of the movie Gary Rydstrom, talk to Elijah Kelley, the voice of Sunny in the movie, who will also serenade us and, wait for it,

Interview with THE GEORGE LUCAS!

And the best part is you can follow every magical moment live as it happens!
