Thanks to our friends at Goliath Games, we got to try out a wide variety of the very best in the latest incarnation of today’s board games and the girls could not have been more thrilled. From such classics as “Greedy Granny” to “Googly Eyes” and puzzles from Shopkins, there is nothing better than seeing the eyes of a child light up not just from the game, but more because they have your undivided attention.  Here’s a look at just a few of the games we were lucky enough to test out:

Greedy Granny–  Take the treats without making a peep with Greedy Granny! Granny loves her sweets, but she’s not so great at sharing. As she snoozes, spin the treat wheel to see which sweet to swipe.

Be quiet…one wrong move will wake Granny up and send her teeth flying! Be the first player to collect one of each of her treats to win the game! For 2 to 4 players, ages 4 and up.

Googly Eyes- Googly Eyes is the hilarious family game that challenges your vision and leaves you googling for more! Put on the zany, vision-altering google eye glasses and start to draw while your team tries to guess what you’re drawing. Is that an igloo or a turtle?

A birthday cake or a fortress? Players take turns drawing and guessing, so everyone gets a chance to wear the glasses. The glasses come with three sets of lenses that range from mild changes to mind-blowing fun, so no one can see (or draw) straight–your vision will bounce off of the lenses. Googly Eyes is a fun twist on classic drawing games that lets players of different ages and skill levels compete on equal terms, since the goggles make it fun and challenging for everyone. Unlike any other drawing game you don’t need to be an artist, and the rules are simple. Just roll the die and move–the space you land on tells you which color lenses to use (easy, medium, or hard). The first team to reach Finish wins. For 4-16 players, ages 7 and up.

It’s super easy – all you have to do is upload your favorite photo to the easy-to-use Photo Pearls app to “pearlize” your photo. Then, start assembling your piece of art with the key provided and watch your picture emerge right before your eyes! A wonderful alternative to puzzles, Photo Pearls is a great stress reliever that will leave you with a show-stopping piece of art. For ages 7 and up.

Pop The Pig–  Pop the Pig ® is an international preschool classic that is adored by millions of children–it’s the #2 best-selling new kids game of the last five years. Kids spin the spinner, pop a hamburger into the pig’s mouth, then pump his head. The more they pump, the more his belly grows until . . . pop! Kids love the suspense as they watch his belly grow; the player who makes his belly burst loses the game. 

Shopkins– From every little girl’s favorite little shoppers, also including in our Goliath Game extravaganza box were a wide variety of Shopkin themed products. From the fun Shopkins Pop ‘N’ Race Game to the Shopkins World Vacation Game and the ever-popular Shopkins Happy Places Moving Day Board Game as well as Shopkin’s Surprise Packages and art supplies, it was every child’s idea of a perfect afternoon.
