Luxury and Pampering Await You At The Rancho Bernardo Inn

If you’re looking for the perfect place to treat yourself to a weekend of luxury, spoiling, pampering and just plain fun look no further than the luxurious Rancho Bernardo Inn located just outside of beautiful San Diego California.  This beautiful, sprawling upscale resort incorporates a pristine golf course, incredible, thoughtful, lush landscaping (a rosemary lined staircase!), excellent restaurants, outstanding service, and comfortable well appointed rooms located in the northern hills of San Diego, California.

From the moment you step onto the property, the resort layout facilitates a calm, peaceful, almost meditative vibe.

Rooms are located in multiple buildings scattered throughout the resort connected by well manicured trees, gardens, with numerous fountains and tranquil walkways – each containing charming sitting areas perfect for some private time to enjoy your surroundings. 

My room, which overlooked the lush gardens, was spacious but not too large that it lost its coziness. The two queen beds were arranged to still give ample room to move around.

There was enough space for a sizable writing desk and large chest of drawers with huge TV. The bathroom was a generous size and offered one sink in with a beautiful shower and toilet with another one outside the door should two people need to get ready at once.

I loved the C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries bath products enough that I may actually buy some for myself.

The closet was exceptionally large and came equipped with two plush bathrobes.

I could have stayed on my private balcony overlooking the pool and the nature and been perfectly happy never leaving that spot.  

The ballrooms/meeting rooms were spacious and were perfect for the larger variety of events we participated in over the three days – whether it was an evening welcoming reception to a full on circus themed party to a night of crafting and fun to a morning of the best speakers and panels around. 

Add in meals prepared from some of the top chefs and a staff that was gracious, helpful, prompt, and very accommodating you have all the makings for a perfect stay.

One of the highlights of the stay was a visit to the Spa located right there at the resort.

The San Diego spa has all the comforts of a typical spa, including locker rooms for men and women, as well as a steam room and whirlpool but the tranquil Spa Garden is the perfect setting to relax and reconnect with nature.

The garden water feature creates harmony of water, nature and relaxation. We had the choice to receive a treatment in one of our outdoor casitas, lounge in the sun-splashed garden or soak in the saline waterfall whirlpool to add natural tranquility of our spa experience.

We opted for their massage, which was customized with special aromatherapy oils, and within moments all of our tension and the outside world melted away leaving us at the end with an experience that breathed new life into out tired muscles.

For those wanting to get in a round of golf or two the 18-Hole San Diego Championship Golf Course at Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort & Spa has hosted both PGA and LPGA events and continues to present golfers of all skill levels with a challenging and rewarding day on the course. 

The resort is a little off the beaten path (about 30 minutes outside of San Diego) but that lends to its charm and the feeling that you are away from the fray and in your own private hideaway.

I was enchanted by this property and can’t wait to find the opportunity to come back to visit for a girl’s reunion weekend.

I can say without reservation that whether for business or pleasure or a little bit of both, the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego will definitely leave you rested, pampered and wanting to return again sooner rather than later.
