Whether you’re a Disney loving family like we are, are just want to create a festive treat, our Minnie Mouse Reindeer Cupcakes are sure to put a smile on the faces of everyone. Here’s how you can create our Minnie Mouse Reindeer Cupcakes with your family:
Fondant Ears and bow
1 package of black fondant
1 package of green fondant
1 mini circle fondant cutter
Directions
Sprinkle some powder sugar onto a cutting board
Roll out the black fondant into 1/4 inch thickness and cut out 48 circles for the ears
Bow directions
Powder your hands with powder sugar and mold the green fondant into a ball
Pinch off 1 teaspoon size ball of fondant and press it into the larger bow size mold
Make 22 bows
Allow drying overnight
Chocolate Antlers
Ingredients
1 C Ghirardelli milk chocolate melting chips
1 disposable piping bag
1 cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper
Directions
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave on 30-second increments
Scoop into a disposable piping bag
Cut the tip off of the disposable piping bag
Pipe out about 48 thick small size antlers
Allow to dry overnight!
Makes 22 Cupcakes
Ingredients
1 box of Triple chocolate cake mix
3 large eggs room temp
1/2 C of softened unsalted sweet cream butter
1 C whole milk
1TBSP pure vanilla extract
cupcake liners
cupcake pan
Directions
Preheat oven to 350.
Line cupcake pan with the cupcake liners
In a medium bowl, add the cake mix, butter, milk, and vanilla extract and stir until combined
Fill cupcake liners 3/4 of the way full.
Bake in the oven for about 21 minutes.
Pull out the cupcakes and allow to cool before frosting.
Vanilla Frosting Ingredients:
3 C unsalted sweet cream butter- softened
6 C powdered sugar
5-7 tbsp. heavy whipping cream
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 large piping bag with large star tip
Red gel food coloring
Directions
Using a standing mixer combine the butter, powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and mix on medium speed until combined and smooth
Split the frosting in half into two bowls
Mix in a few drops of red food coloring into one bowl
Scoop the red frosting onto one side of the piping bag
Scoop the white frosting onto the other side of the piping bag
Decorating directions
Frost cooled cupcakes with the frosting
Push two ears into the sides of the hat
Place the bow into the top center of the cupcake
Place the antlers in front of the ears
