The Happiest Haunting on Earth is almost here and we’ve got everything you need to know about Mickey’s Not -So- Scary- Halloween Party which begins on August 17 through October 31 at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
As everyone knows this is Halloween at its very best with of course that magical Disney twist and this year the witching hour is earlier than ever before when on August 17, it’s time to don your favorite costume and get ready to trick or treat the night away atMickey’s Not -So- Scary- Halloween Party, a separately ticketed event in Magic Kingdom park! Don’t miss your chance to collect candies, sweets and frightfully delightful treats—all while the park hosts grim grinning ghosts, eerie entertainment and Disney Characters that go bump in the night.
Best of all: since the tone of this event is “not-so-scary,” that means children of every age can enjoy the fun!
Pricing and Available Dates
Save $10 on your tickets compared to the day-of purchase price when you buy at least a day in advance! Day-of prices start at $85 per adult and $80 per child (ages 3-9), plus tax. The party takes place on the following dates:
- August 17, 24, 28 and 31
- September 3, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30
- October 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30 and 31

Celebrate the hallowed season with a spider web of pyrotechnic effects and haunting melodies. During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2018, the Ghost Host from the Haunted Mansion invites you to “drop in” as Disney Villains light up the night with fireworks and a wicked version of melodies from Disney’s past that echo through the night—and creepy colors crawl over Cinderella Castle.

It’s Fun to Be Bad
The mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus return in 2018 to throw a Halloween party. With only a few hours to run amuck at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Winifred, Mary and Sarah decide to use their magic to host a decidedly wicked fun fest. Enlisting the help of the Disney villains, the 3 sisters mix sinister shadows, terrifying nightmares and use the nefarious powers of their frightening colleagues to conjure the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion—and cast a spell on everyone in Magic Kingdom park!
Look for appearances from Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent. Combine them and other great Disney villains with amazing dancers, wild visual projections and otherworldly special effects to make Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular a not-to-be-missed Halloween treat!

Trick-or-Treat Throughout the Park

Do you have a food allergy? If so, we have a special trick-or-treat experience for you! While at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, please see a Cast Member to pick up a teal-colored treat bag—the official color of food allergy awareness. These are available at any treat location and at the official Allergy-Friendly Centers located at Town Square Theater (near Tony’s Town Square Restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A.) and Liberty Square Ticket Office (near The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square).

When you trick-or-treat with your teal bag, Cast Members will give you a teal token at any treat station. Later on, you can redeem your teal tokens at our Allergy-Friendly Centers to receive your special treats!
Hex-clusive Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots
New twists and treats this year include:
- On Pirates of the Caribbean, guests will interact with new live pirates who encourage everyone to be on the lookout for Gunpowder Pete, a scoundrel with an eye on the same treasure sought by Captain Jack Sparrow.
- The Mad Tea Party will take guests on a colorful teacup ride, as special lighting and other effects put a glowing new spin on the attraction at night.
- Explorers visiting Space Mountain will hurtle through the blackness of deep space to the riffs of a new hard-rockin’ soundtrack.
- Storybook Circus welcomes the new Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam, a dance party featuring favorite Disney Junior characters, including Doc McStuffins and Timon from “The Lion Guard.”
- New this year in Frontierland, prospector Cactus-Flower Cate rounds up youngsters for the Frontierland Costume Promenade, encouraging them to show off their costumes in a quest for the greatest treasure in the land – candy!
This year also marks the 25th anniversary of Walt Disney Pictures’ “Hocus Pocus.” What better way to celebrate the film than with the spellbinding Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt stage, where the Sanderson Sisters and Disney villains will “put a spell on you.”
As always, guests should keep their eyes open for dancing ghosts, the Headless Horseman, plus Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan and many more beloved Disney characters in the Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade. There will also be plenty of sweets around the park for all trick-or-treaters, including allergy-friendly options. And each night during the party, the skies above an eerily lit Cinderella Castle come alive during Happy HalloWishes, a magical fireworks extravaganza that definitely goes bump in the night with spooky tunes from Disney villains.
