When you enter a certain phase of your life, when the days behind you far outnumber the ones that await you, you start to look a life in an all new light. And in your heart of hearts, you hope with all of your being that the legend is true-that once every year, our ancestors come back to our world to see family and friends but no living person has ever visited their world ….until now. On November 22, you are invited to take the journey that connects us all in Disney•Pixar’s Coco.
Into each and every one of us, there is a history or legacy or a story that makes us who we are today. It could be in the way we all hold our forks when we eat, or the love of music, or an artistic ability that we were never quite sure where it came from until you stumble upon drawing of a great grandparent from when we were their age and suddenly we see ourselves in them and them in ourselves.
It could be subtle-something in the way that our child smiles at us that transports us back to a moment in time looking up at a great, great uncle and seeing glimmers of that same smile, or it could be the fact that every member of the family has the innate ability to move with the music. It’s not something spoken, it’s who we are inside. It’s the legacy handed down through the generations that is a part of our being and a part of our soul and that continues to live on long after we are gone. This is Disney•Pixar’s Coco , the coming of age story of discovery and finding out who we are, where we came from and what makes us the person we are today.
