April 22 marks the 52nd anniversary of this worldwide event which helps to remind us of our impact on the Earth. This annual event was first created to celebrate the planet’s environment and raise public awareness about pollution.
The day, marked on April 22, is observed worldwide with rallies, conferences, outdoor activities, and service projects and now you can celebrate Earth Day with our easy tissue paper plate Earth art project. Every year on April 22, trees are planted, litter is cleaned up, and people from all over the world come together to help raise awareness for the issues that have become a part of our day to day life on our planet. Supplies And Directions:
Blue tissue paper, cut into 1-inch squares
Construction paper, cardstock or paper plate
Map template
Glue
- Print the Map Template file of your choosing.
- If printing with cutting machine, upload the correct file to your software. Resize the images to fit 6 ½ inches wide and 11 inches long. Select to print and cut. Be aware that the SVG and EPS files are in black and white.
