Week 2 Nutrisystem -Turbo Takeoff Took It Off #NSNation #ad
Last week I began my journey towards change with to the Nutrisystem program and joined the ranks of the #NSNation and after week one, I am proud to say not only did I make it through that crucial first week with their Turbo Takeoff took it off and I couldn’t believe it when I saw the results.
I have to admit, it was not the easiest of weeks, but by day four I had a handle on in and it all fell into place and became quite routine. One of the biggest benefits is that because I was eating every few hours, I can honestly say that I never once felt hungry. The difficulty came from the fact that I’m a condiment and creamy salad dressing with croutons kind of gal so although I could have all of the veggies I wanted, including artichokes which I love, having it with mayonnaise to dip it in, or ranch dressing for my celery and carrots, not the easiest.
Now that it’s behind me I truly think it was more of a mental challenge than anything but one I not only took on but won because……drumroll….I LOST 5 POUNDS!!!! Now I know that some of that was water weight but the mental boost when I weighed in this morning, well there is nothing quite like it.
Truth be told I could feel a difference after a few days in the way my clothes were fitting, but more importantly , my energy level because the biggest change I made was not just in the way I approached meals, but the fact that I was getting back out there and walking 2-3 miles everyday-in fact when it unexpectedly poured down rain this weekend I came close to going out to walk in the rain in spite of it, but as my walking path is around a lake and a hilly one at that, I decided that mud, rain and hills may not be in my best interest but I missed it.
I don’t know if I look any different, but I feel different; I’m starting to feel worthwhile again not just because of the weight loss, but because I’m taking care of me, for me. The best part, thanks to Nutrisystem, I was connected with Kaitlyn, who is one of their knowledgeable counselors who had all the answers I needed, plus offered many great suggestions but more importantly, support.
So what is the Nutrisystem Turbo Takeoff? The Turbo Takeoff Kit literally has everything you need for the first week right in a handy to use box including seven days of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, a box of Turboshakes™, and a box of NutriCrush® shakes as well as a You Turbo Takeoff meal planner.
When you unfold the planner it includes a tracker for seven days with boxes that you can check off your meals as you progress through the week. Basically all I had to do is every few hours, pull something out of the box-it was just that easy and the beauty of it, all of the food and shakes includes were easy to pack up and take with me as the need arose. Admit it, who wouldn’t want to be able to have chocolate shakes not once but twice a day? Add in with that muffins, pizzas, pasta and you have my full and undivided attention for sure.
In addition to the tracker planner, I already had downloaded their free NuMi app to my phone which allows me to track my food, water and exercise right on the sport. It has really taught me that every bite counts, and having a place to visually remind myself the importance of not only what I am eating and when, but helping me to remember to be drinking at least 64 ounces of water each day was just the reminder I needed, especially at the beginning of the week.
I have a hunch that the NuMi app is going to become even more invaluable over the next few weeks, as I leave the safety of the kit behind, and start to venture into the next part of the journey.
This week kicks off with the addition of many things to the choices including everything from eggs and dairy and pancakes and cinnamon roles for breakfast to fruit and you should see the freezer full of food, snacks, and dessert all supplied by Nutrisystem. Looking at the ice cream sandwiches and pretzels, it’s hard to believe that they call this a diet at all. But the reality is, it’s not a diet, but a way to manage your eating, and in turn your life and in the end, isn’t that what it’s all about?

I’m actually going to miss my Turboshakes™ and NutriCrush® shakes but luckily there’s a red velvet ice cream sandwich calling my name this week.
